I have always liked the tradition of the Principal Boy being played by a girl but for this show, I’m willing to consider it being played by a guy.

Conkers & Bonkers

Silly sisters fulfilling the Comedy Duo role in the pantomime. “Ugly sisters!” someone shouts. “Well, really!”

Mouldywart

A classic pantomime villain – this time an evil, beastly witch. She can be played by a lady or a man. If played by a man, it is not a drag or dame part. Asexual.

Snitch the Cat

Ideally, Snitch should be a catlike character played by a girl. In my head, as I was writing her, was Victoria, the white cat in the musical “Cats”.

The Spirit of Pantomime

She shouldn’t be the classic panto fairy in vast acres of tulle. I think, as she is the SPIRIT of pantomime, she should look like a modern elflike punkie ‘spirit’ with gossamer wings and elf ears.
