Formed in 1965, Pink Floyd were the seminal group (yes, we said ‘group’ in those days, not ‘band’) of the Swinging ’60s and the originators of psychedelia (look it up 
).
“Comfortably Numb” is a song from their eleventh album, The Wall (1979).
For me, this is the best performance of this magnificent song. And the fact that the original lineup came together for this one time is very special.
I have to admit to becoming quite emotional every time I watch it! Especially at the end when the four of them hug! 🙂
On 2 July 2005 Pink Floyd performed at the London Live 8 concert with Roger Waters rejoining David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. It was the quartet’s first performance together in over 24 years!
Just revel in Dave Gilmore’s extraordinary guitar solo at the end. Magnificent and incredibly moving.
